camera apps…

nah… see, lately, I was kinda… (have nothing better to do, or simply, just don’t want to do something better… wahahahahahahaha!!) so, suddenly, I was relooking into my camera apps again,
for the past year, I’ve been backing up my photo to flickr, not all, but selectively, but then, I realised, I can’t get it out, ie. get it out with the caption I put in… so, I was upset with flickr!! oh, dear flickr, please do something about it, but anyway, since yahoo’s been sold off, I doubt there’ll be any improvement in the near future…
so, I look into it, then, I decided to give googlephotos a try… well, I hate to say, cos, google’s tied to your device very tightly, so, it’s kinda confusing, though I’m still using it, for a little while longer… cos, it’s encouraging you to backup ALL YOUR PHOTOS, which I don’t like, in terms of that,
I still prefer flickr, as in the process of uploading, choosing which photos to be uploaded to which albums…, that, was frill-less…
ok, back to my camera apps story,
so, I can’t download/print my flickr photos with the caption/description/title…
so I got upset, and I was looking up and down, in and out, for a good apps,
that,
just give me a few simple things…
ya, nowadays, I tell you!!!! simple things are difficult to get,
just simple things, people just don’t get it,
one good example, Line Camera Apps used to be good, though I prefer Pinguo’s Camera360,
again, these 2, have updated their apps, to having some very unwanted features, as to my standard…
Line Camera, they used to have that polaroid kinda photo frame, and I could write the caption below that photo, NO MORE!!!
Camera360, they use to be able to do batch processing, ie. batch filter, but NO MORE!!!!
irritating, isn’t it!!!!
all I want, is to be able to do some picturecard/photocard/polaroid or some sort, but nah~~~
and on iOS, they used to have this NOTICA Apps, which, till date, I still think, it’s best of its kind…
and sadly, best of its kind, is obsolete now, as in, you go to apps store, the search will give you 0 return…
so, to cut short the story,
after downloading/installing/uninstall a few apps,
below is my finding,
vsco cam – just found out it can do batch edit, bravo, and I still keep this in my phone, as I do love their filter, kinda… “dusty”, ^_^
pixlr – polaroid and caption, it’s this “nolaroid” thing, (it can’t name itself after Polaroid, as long as it’s not by Polaroid)
camera+ – insta card and caption, but can’t choose font, what I gather is, the font’s according to the frame/filter that you pick,
but of all…
I sent a sample of each to my friend, who I happened to chat with,
I mean, the -laroid photocard,
camera+, pixlr, and fotorus,
my friend said that, the one from camera+ is the best, she likes it the best…
then, I told her, ya… it’s in iOS and it’s a paid apps… ^_^
now I see, I see…

玩物喪志 that’s what I’ve been doing lately…

ok, what’ve I been doing lately?
Busy!!! besides taking care of the 2 precious,
I’ve been trying to configure something…
see, I’m very bored with my ever-running-out-of battery garmin-asus a10, (ya, I know, old phone, damn old phone, right? In the past, a phone bought in 2011 is not considered OLD, but then, in this century, it is!)
and I’m also bored with my very old ipod touch gen-2, yes, besides using it to listen to songs, nothing else I can do, damn @apple LO!!! no apps supported for any iOS below 4.3…

as I’m so bored, I’ll think of what else can I do, I mean besides taking care of my 2 precious (that’s not so bored, but then I gotta deviate my attention from them, once in a while, right?)

and therefore, one fine day, I ordered this,

Cpeel T166, from a local store (“chapalan” type of online store LA!), it’s by coming.hk, well, a china company, since you know, china’s so damn good at being 山寨, they really can come out with something… which makes this world, a little bit interesting… cos, they really ARE VERY DAMN CREATIVE, for your info…

and therefore, first thing I gotta do is to jailbreak my ipodtouch gen-2, I’ve attempted before, but I failed to find a tool, then, that day, I tried again, and I found greenpoins0n, bingo!

Then, i’ve a lot more hurdles to overcome, since iOS 4.2.1 is like… sooooooooooooooooooooooooo historic!!!

first problem, still unsolved,
I can’t get whatsapp to work, fine!! though I’m a legit whatsapp customer, in iOS, and android platform!

Second, I asked my friend who’s done JB before, where to find apps, and that opened up a whole new world ot me (PM me, if you want to know!)
third, I’ve to find all those older versions for those apps that I use, and am still using, like tunein radio, naver’s line, facebook, twitter, weibo, ibooks, yes, I use my little ipod to read books, find it handy, and because of that, I managed to read some 東野圭吾, 推理小說。

Seriously, @apple does have some big problem for me, see… I normally update my apps, and only because of that, I find out, I can’t get back the older apps, there’s no such thing as roll back… damn! So, I gotta go online and find,

and therefore, thanks to those online lovely internet users, or, people like me, who really has nothing better to do, and find this type of “challenges” to overcome,

first, I come across filecrop.com, ya, found some files,
after that, I realized, it’s easier to get it out from some chinese websites, again, you know what they’re good at, right?

Appifan.com
weiphone.com
and so on…

ok, all done, at least, I get these apps that I want to use, up and running on my device…

honestly, as of today, my ipod, with that cpeel, they call it 蘋果皮,
can function as a phone, calls, sms, etc,
but then, the gprs connection’s unreliable,
and that, till date,
I’m still trying to solve it!

And to my excitement, in a way, since I’m an android’s supporter,
I even can port xperia Z theme on my old ipod, and tap it, and slide it, and flip it, and roll it, just like how I use an android phone, cool, right?

I think I think I think, they’re going to pretend to be like and android, in the long run,
see!!! android copies ios, and now, ios has to copy android back, hahahahahahahaha!!!
isn’t that fun?

Well, i’m still trying to solve that GPRS connection thing with my cpeel,
if you happen to read this,
and if you happen to have an ipod touch gen2,
and if you happen to also have a cpeel t166,
and if you also happened to have encountered the same problem, and have solve it, or,
if you happen to still trying to solve it, like me,
or if you happen to want to help me with a solution,
please let me know,
very very much appreciated, thanks…

THAT’s how it/they look like…

Yet Another “Talk” Show…

ya… another new “chat” on the net in town,
ie. ChatOn
by Samsung Electronics,
available on iOS and Android,
ooh, Android, kononnya, but not my droid, again!!! ~_~
my iPod Touch 2nd Gen, na… not compatible, same “problem” as viber had on it, (ok, my problem, viber already said, they don’t officially support iPod Touch 2nd Gen anymore!)
but ChatOn is worse, it’ll just crash and “exit” the programme on its own…
THAT’s why, I still like Naver’s Line… (my first post, and second post here!)
to make things worse,
my android?
it doesn’t even show up in my apps search result, ie. totally not supported platform,
ok, my droid is 2.1? or earlier, and that’s the max I can go… @_@
however, I do kinda find this ChatOn interesting…
read here,
seems like you can just treat it as another social network platform, while you’re on the move…
imagine, if all your facebook friends, twitter friends moved over here, will you ditch those 2 platforms?
in a way, ideally, I guess so…
if what you’re interested is mainly those tweeting and replying and posting, and locationing type of activities…
anyway,
since I’m not a Samsung device user, and I guess I never will… (cos, I’m pro-jap-product!)
so, I can’t really tell you the full feature…
so far… to me, it’s just another apps, like Line, like Viber…
(in fact, not so much like iOS iMessage… I love this feature in iOS 5 indeed…)

Sure Win with Snoopy’s Street Fair

Hahaha~

yes… due to the “kiasuism”… I’ve found a way,

not really sure win, cos, it can’t help you to win bucks…

but then, by putting all these snack cart… you know the end result?

cos, each cart’s available for coin collection every 45s, that also means…

you can’t get your hands off the game,

as simple as that, but THAT’ll help you to go level up pretty fast, and achieve those “items” collection pretty fast too…

wanna try?

I am a Flight Tycoon!

ok… I’ve moved my “stage” from facebook, to iOS,

of course, I am now hooked on Snoopy’s Street Fair,

but then, just today, I discovered another game… simply because of the graphics,

it’s kinda cute, and interesting,

for me to manage,

as well as for my daughter to look at it…

as she loves those vehicles, planes, cars… bla bla bla…

evernote, I damn love~

that I can write my notes, my thoughts,
in bed…
while accompanying baby… when she’s there playing and I’m sitting here,
when I’m on the move, in the car…
cos I don’t have a data plan,
and I also do not like to blog on the go… ie. I’m the type who’ll rather type, read again, or edit again, make sure everything’s alright (well, not so serious actually…) and then, only publish it…
therefore, evernote is just THERE for me…
I’ve mentioned before…
I could jot down notes (even include some health related articles, or recipes, or parenting tips…) on my iPad,
or my droid,
or my ipod,
or my windows PC…
or my ubuntu notebook… (except this one, they do not have an apps for linux/ubuntu, the rest, there’s an installer, there’s apps…)
what other apps do I need now??

my Line

I’ve been asking a few of my friends to install “Line“, ya, it’s a funny apps name, whenever I type “Line”, I find it too simple to type…
well, if you’ve used Viber before, then you’ll know what I mean, basically it’s once of those text/voice chat apps that one can install on his/her smartphone, started from iOS, (though it’s more meant for iPhone, but then, I could install it on iPod, or iPad, unlike bloody whatspp, which you really have to have an iPhone to install it!)
and eventually made available in android phones…
yes, I’m having an android,
I’ve tried to move my Viber (from iPod) to android before, however, as what one of my friends mentioned, Viber “caused” his android OS “shaky”, and that he uninstalled it…
so, I tried Viber on my android, I think it’s 2.1 or older, unupgradeable…
and yes, it froze my screen, and my subsequent apps a couple of time, that the only thing I could do,
was a reboot!
after trying twice, (ie. install, uninstall, give it a chance, install and then uninstall, for good!)
I’ve decided to call it quit!
then~~ along, came “Line”.. ooh~~ what more to say, it’s by Japanese~~~~~ yatta~~~
I tried on iPod, it’s not made for big screen like iPad, though you can just install and use it, just like Viber…
it’s good, though I couldn’t tell the difference or any extra “perks” offered by Line as compared to Viber…
ok ok… if I were to say something,
it’s better and more pleasant background,
and it’s this “sticker” things, ie. emoticons, smileys, and bla bla bla…
and guess what? one of my friends love using it, as compared to Viber, simply because of this “addons”, ie. emoticons, japanese style, some silly icons, bla bla bla…
cos, when one is out of idea of what to type to somebody, see!! since it’s free, and you just have to use it, and when you’re so bored… you just wanna send something (cos, it’s free!), but you just don’t know what to send, what to write…
you just send some silly stickers to the other person…
and yes, that’s the crap I get… but seems like there’re people enjoying it! right??
that’s the “perks” of naver’s Line, then, if you ask me…
here, naver’s Line on top, vs. Viber…
can you really tell the difference?? now… I can’t… besides what I’ve mentioned…
however, on system wise, I opt for Line, cos, it’s compatible (ooh, how long I’ve not used this word) to my old android…. and there,
Viber, I’ve to say “bye” to you…
what more to say, one of my other friends, who uses Viber to text chat with me every day (oh, if my mom’s still around, I bet I’ll get her to do the same thing too!)
see, but she uses Viber on iPad, and I’m urging her to upgrade her iOS… ie. iOS 5.0, then,
she’ll have the built-in messaging things, which again, is great… (that I shall blog, next round!)
which is Apple’s own iOS’ iMessage…
if she’s on that…
then, yes, I’ll ditch Viber for good,
while Line, and Whatsapp stay with my android…
cos, I’d like to centralise most of my “communication” apps in my android… ^_^ (ooh! centralise, another word I’ve not been using for a looooooooong time!)

Notes Taking

I used to “love” MS OneNote a lot a lot…
(yes in a way, I still do, but you know how much you need to pay for the whole MS Office Suite right??)
it’s just designed in a way, as if you’re taking notes with your conventional notebook (those professional types, with pink/blue tags on top and bla bla bla…)
and the look’s really interesting and easy to use…
what more to say, you don’t have to click “save”, and you can just put any pictures you like, anything… it’ll appear just as how you expect it to look like, as if you’re doing it handwrittenly…
anyway…
so, when I kinda moved to linux (ie. ubuntu, as of now… or probably for a while),
I was searching inside out, upside down, for a similar replacement,
I went to “lifehacker“, “mashable” repeatedly in a hope to find some resolution, but nah… nothing…
the best is still… MS OneNote… (yak!!! and that’s how ironic life is…)
then, I started to try to use Evernote
yes, Evernote…
I’d an account with this apps, the free type, but I’ve never really bothered to explore the feature, cos, whatever it is, I still tend to compare whatever I could find, with MS OneNote…
and there you go… you know, nothing can beat MS OneNote… (in my opinion)
but then… I kinda… made myself “having to” juggle between 2 desktops, ie. my windows, and my ubuntu…
and maybe sometimes, my iOs…
the common thing between all these 3, is Evernote…
so, I gave it a try…
and now, I do find it very very very, indeed… very convenient…
though, in ubuntu’s, I still need to rely on the web… however, it delivers…
whenever I go to my windows desktop, I can just sync it to my desktop Evernote,
or, whenever I use my little iPod, or my bigger iPad… Evernote’s always there, for me to take note…
THAT, YOU~~~ MICROSOFT, will not be able to deliver… for FREE!!! wa hahahahahaha!!! go to hell, MS!
I take note,
whenever I look for recipe, it can either be on my desktops, windows, ubuntu,
or my iPad, or my iPod… seriously, whatever’s in my household…
Evernote’s there…
tell me, if it’s not useful!!!
(though the look and feel may “loose” to MS OneNote…)
